Branch Committee - How to Vote

The Branch Committee is a vital part of our union -- it is elected from the branch membership to manage the operation of our branch.

Nine Ordinary Committee Members will be elected to the Branch Committee. You will be asked to vote for at least NINE candidates IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE.

Does the order of my preferences matter?

Yes!

Because votes will be allocated in a Quota Preferential System, we recommend you vote in the following numbered order, to maximise the power of your vote.

Who should you vote for?

Laura, Linda, Mark and Kurt support the following candidates for the position of ORDINARY COMMITTEE MEMBER on the Branch Committee. These candidates:
  • have been active in the NTEU and on the forefront of the union’s campaigns on issues such as academic fellows, de-casualisation, defending jobs, healthy workplaces and recruitment;
  • represent the diversity of our branch – they work in different roles in different parts of the university, and are at different stages of their career;
  • put their energy into working together to build membership and popular support for the union.
